Top Upcoming Fashion Trends For 2020
I want to congratulate Julia Talita Pagenkopf for her
fashion show during Vancouver Fashion Week S / S 2020. Her brand INSIDE /
OUTSIDE Studio presented Transcultural Deconstruction, the brand's debut
collection focused on the beauty of imperfection inspired by the Japanese
concept of Wabi-Sabi. Julia completed her master's degree in Japan and Germany
and began her brand in early 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
It also reveals its plans for the future of making its brand
more accessible to the general public and talks about its radically sustainable
design approach. We want to thank Julia for her detailed response that will
help our readers see through her trip and for passionately sharing her future
visions of her brand.
Trend forecaster Fashion Snoops recently offered its
insights into fashion trends for spring / summer 2020 at the Hong Kong Fashion
Week, organized by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council.
This New Trend
This trend stems from the Instagram culture of encouraging
designs that stand out, stand out and be Insta-worthy. It is inspired by the
dance movement of the 1980s, embodied by films such as Staying Alive and Simply
Ballroom, as well as Madonna's video clip for Vogue. There is a renewed
fascination for ballroom dancing, rock star glam, sci-fi from the 80s and the
protest culture that has produced punk and grunge.
The sentiment is reflected by explosive colors such as
pastel neons, bold purple and contrasting colors, and glossy surfaces such as
metallics, glitter and plastic, in addition to animal prints, waxed denim with
black wax, mesh knits, nylon micro shorts and exaggerated shoulders.
New birth
This trend combines ancient antiquities and modern
minimalism and encourages us to explore the beauty and mysteries of prehistoric
life with the help of advanced technology. Silhouettes are a tribute to
architectural principles and religious overtones with backbone-inspired
designs, pure layers, laser cuts and recesses, as well as buttons, collections,
curtains, pin pleats, winged sleeves and wide legs.
Materials have a futuristic approach with gel-like or spongy
materials that can be packaged. Volcanic earth tones and liquid metallic colors
dominate, complemented by techno blue, bright orange and an industrial shine.
Patterns take clues from fossils, skeletal filaments, sacred geometry and
prehistoric images.
