The Plumbing Solutions For Every Home Owner
Like you, plumbers around the world are constantly looking for ways to provide better service, no matter what the project. And, with the growing demand for plumbers due to labor shortages, the plumbing industry has developed a series of innovations that can help you work more efficiently. One of these innovations is SharkBite EvoPEX.
The SharkBite EvoPEX system is the next evolutionary step to provide an advanced drinking water system for a safe and efficient water supply. The SharkBite EvoPEX push connection technology is specially designed for use with PEX pipes and improves overall productivity by helping you complete your installations faster. In addition, with SharkBite EvoPEX, you can connect a complete drinking water system without the need for special tools, crimping, glue or welding. As a result, your installations are cleaner, you will have less risk of possible leaks due to installation errors, and the reduced working time means that you can continue programming more easily.
Installing SharkBite EvoPEX is simple. Just cut your PEX tube, make sure the ends are square and the surface is smooth. The EvoPEX fitting and hose must be clean and free of dirt and debris before attempting to make a connection. Firmly push the hose into the fitting and avoid inserting the hose at an angle. Finally, check the green visual indicator to make sure it is properly installed. Once the connection is established, you can test the pressure system immediately. The SharkBite EvoPEX system is also resistant to corrosion and the accumulation of minerals, which facilitates greater water pressure and better distribution of hot water.
For added security, the SharkBite EvoPEX system is covered by a 25-year system warranty with consequential damage coverage to provide years of customer satisfaction. SharkBite EvoPEX is proudly made in the United States. We have our manufacturing process from start to finish, so every EvoPEX fitting and every piece of PEX pipe is guaranteed from concept to delivery.
When Chris Buss, co-owner of Buss Mechanical Services had to install pipes in a four-story Hilton hotel in Meridian, Idaho, he needed to complete the project quickly so that the hotel could operate as soon as possible. "We are using the EvoPEX system to try to help speed up the pace of work and reduce the chances of leaks," says Buss.
He also mentioned that with EvoPEX, there is no need to calibrate tools. "Once you have [the accessory] there, you see the green indicator, you leave ... you will not have problems," he says. "We have installed about 600 accessories, if not more, and we have never had a single problem: neither a leak, nor a failed accessory, nothing."
Buss says that another benefit of using the SharkBite system is that it requires less tools and labor than traditional systems such as crimping. "Compared to a crimp in which you are going to have to get the tools and it is a two-handed system, this is [a] [one-handed] system and you never have to stop. We can use one or two people less by installing EvoPEX than it would with a normal crimping or welding system.
Clint McCannon - Cannon Plumbing
In Suwanee, Georgia, Clint McCannon, owner of Cannon Plumbing, had to reinstall the entire house plumbing system. The original pipe was a polybutylene pipe, which is known to drip, explode and cause water damage. The team had to consider a number of options when addressing this project, such as what pipe material and installation method to use for the job.
